A BMW 2 Series test mule has crashed on A72 Autobahn near Zwickau. According to German media SZ-Online, the testing engineer was driving a BMW 228i prototype and reportedly lost control of the car before hitting the guard rail. The car is said to have been traveled at high speeds, not uncommon for the Autobahn.

The crash resulted in the closure of the A72 in both directions.

The driver reportedly suffered only minor injuries and is being treated at a local medical facility.
