Autocar UK aims to find out which is the best driver’s car by comparing the BMW M235i against the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG.
Mercedes Benz A45 AMG is engineered by the AMG division to include numerous performance, handling and styling upgrades. The one thing that impresses us is the powerplant found under the hood: a 2.0 liter turbocharged inline-four cylinder which produces 360 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired to a seven-speed AMG dual-clutch transmission and power is sent to the ground using 4Matic all-wheel drive.
It runs from 0 to 60 mph time of 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
The BMW M235i Coupe is the latest member of the BMW M Performance Automobile family and it is powered by the N55 3.0 liter TwinPower turbocharged inline-six engine also found in the M135i. It produces 322 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque taking the M235i from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds when optioned with the 8-speed sport automatic. Top speed is 155mph and MPG is 22 city/32 hwy for the auto and 19/29 for the 6-speed manual.
